The fourth graders at The Academy of Moore County celebrated graduating from the Pet Responsibility Program with a presentation by Diane Ingold of the Pet Responsibility Committee. Diane volunteers at the Aloha! Zoo which is a sanctuary and rescue for exotic pets. She discussed with them the plight of exotic pets who are abandoned when people can no longer care for them.
Megan and Natalie were announced as the winners of the Speuter Story Contest. They are both donating their vouchers for a free spay or neuter to families with a pet in need. They both received framed certificates from the Pet Responsibility mascot, Speuter.
